A PRAYER.

Generally i don't cry when i watch any emotional scene in any movie, because i know after all its just a man made story, and i am paying to enjoy those three hours of watching different moods of human nature. Today i did cry, cry like a small child, and felt like a child who watches his parents being killed in front of him and he is unable to save them. The movie "PEARL HARBOUR" is not a man made story, its real, it did happen in the year 1941, Japanese did kill Americans. i hate those minds who were behind this attack. I Don't know who died then, they were not my distant relatives, nor any of my good friends, neither will i ever meet any of their relatives in the future, but i did cry for those innocent people who were killed on that day.

I remember similar attack on our own land, 26/11/ 2008, one in the year 2001 9/11, on USA, many such attacks in different parts of the world, it really makes me cry when i come to know human killed human, its really shame on our part that we are killing our own species. I hate all those terrorists and the master mind behind all these inhuman attacks. I request the almighty to come down on to Earth and save the world from the demons called terrorists.

WHY CANT THE GUYS SAY NO TO DOWRY

Definition Of Dowry :- Dowry or Dahej is the payment in cash or/and kind by the bride's family to the bridegroom' s family along with the giving away of the bride ( called Kanyadaan) in Indian marriage . Kanyadanam is an important part of Hindu marital rites. Kanya means daughter, and dana means gift.
I Hate this word Dowry, reason? its just buying the bridegroom with huge amount of money, or in other words he sells himself, to the girls family,I am sure in all those marriages where Dowry is appreciated, love in between the two families, is never established, the bride's father saves all his earnings from the time the daughter is born, and one fine day all his savings are gone with his daughter to the grooms family. I call these families "SHAMELESS", specially the groom who cant protest against this crime, if he is not capable enough to feed himself or buy the luxuries of his life, then he has no right to enjoy the hard earned money of an elderly person who is his father in law.

I know few of my male friends who justify the Dowry system, according to them, its just a gift in the form of cash, Dude forget it, i know gifts cant be for hundreds of thousands of rupees, that is literally demanded to the brides parents, i even know guys who set their rates, if doctor 50,00,000 rupees, if Engineer 25,00,000 rupees, if he is settled in abroad then the amount is so high that even a higher middle class family father cant afford to pay the amount. I have no regrets to say "they are not Men" If you are really Educated enough you should wisely judge between right and wrong.

I am writing against this evil crime because of 2 reasons:
1. Last year one of my childhood friends, got married to a normal earning guy, i took 2 days leave from office we did lots of planning for the wedding day, on the wedding day i was all the time with her, clicked many pictures, every thing was very good, one year later they are no longer with each other, my friend Anjali is living with her widow mom and sister with a new born baby. I think of the day one year back, and today i see her without husband , the only reason is, her husband never liked her, he agreed to marry her because her mom offered the guys family a huge amount of money, which her father saved when he was alive, she did keep her promise, but the amount was little less. When i see her with her son in her lap tears fill my eyes.

2. This year there is another wedding of my childhood friend Tara, she was in love with a guy from the telugu community from a very young age, now that both the families have agreed to the marriage, the real demon came in the love story, "Dowry" the guys family demanded a 3 bedroom flat in the heart of the city, a huge cash because the boy earns good, branded clothes for all the relatives from the grooms family and a car. Lord save me, i pity on Taras father who has to give away all his earnings and savings to his son in law, come on Mr. groom this cannot be called as a gift, agree to the fact that u are demanding,making Tara feel that she took a very wrong decission to love you, are you not getting Tara? cant you see that God gifted you the women whom you love? will Tara ever forgive you for putting so much of burden on her father?

Hhhhhmmmm.......... Lord please save me from these kind of guys whom i don't consider as men, they don't have the confidence to be bold enough to go against his parents and say no to dowry.

ABOUT ME

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY

Happy Independence day to all my readers, i am very proud to be an Indian, though i know there are many things which i am not proud of.

I was thinking why is still, India a developing country? i have heard this sentence from the time i was in class 1. its been 20 years now, its still developing, when will i hear the sentence "India is a super power", my experience in the banking sector finds a very small solution to this transition from developing to superpower. Most of the transactions in our country are done with cash which are not recorded, if they are made with debit or credit cards, they will get recorded and no merchant can save their sales tax.

Agriculture sector should be given the prime importance, i am sure India still earns most of its revenue from this sector.With Climate change, we should no more depend on the rains to shower its blessings on the rice crops, biotechnological projects should give more emphasis on developing drought resistant rice varieties.

I am sure in the last 20 years of the journey i have seen the transition from developing to superpower has gained momentum, we have almost overcome the problem of unemployment, Illiteracy, child marriage, religious riots, etc.etc.i know they still exist, but the frequency is less now a days. If the administration of the country is handled by the youth, i am sure we will reach the superpower tag very soon, we need leaders who take wise decision and implement ASAP.

I HAVE LIBERTY TO LIVE MY LIFE THE WAY I WANT.

Thanks to my parents , my relatives, my religion, my country, who allows me to live my life the way i want it. I am never answerable to any of the above mentioned, as to why i am selecting a particular thing to be the part of my life, what i wear, what i eat, where i go, who are my friends, which god i believe in, which religion i follow etc etc......Readers may think whats great in that every body has the right to live life the way they want to, its true in India, America,European countries and many other countries where human rights hold very strong roots and position.

There are many parents, relatives, religion, customs, and countries where human right is just a crap, most of the limitations are on women. They are not allowed to study,go out alone, get knowledge, set up their dream career, wear a smart looking dress, talk to the opposite sex, marry some one whom she likes, and what not.

I know, days are not that bad as i have mentioned above, because we meet people when we step out side our house, who are like us.As i talk to my few old friends whom i left behind in career, life style, and education, i see my self in a very better position. Anamika's mom doesn't allow her to wear jeans, my genius cousin was not allowed study because her parents thought of getting her married, my sister cannot choose to go to disco alone because her fiance want her to be only with him in public gatherings, my neighbour Neha was not allowed to work as her husband dint like her going out to office every morning, Anamika is not allowed to go for dating with her fiance because her brother is against girl and boy meeting before marriage,most Muslim women in the world are forced to wear burkha in scorching sun because their religion says that, and the list is endless...... why are all these limitation only for the women? are they bound to follow what the people, religion or country frames for them? I think these women gets pleasure and happiness in following the set rules, they don't have their own set targets, they actually don't know what they want? that's why the whole world sets or creates rules for them because they like to follow others, not listen to their heart.

I DOUBT IF I AM BORING.

when ever i went to any interview for job, the first round always was a "description about yourself round" in an open forum, when ever it was my turn i said: " Hello people , my name is Arpita, i have done my Masters from AU, my hobbies are....... reading any thing that i get, i like to watch national geographic, discovery & History channel, i love to sing and apart from job i like to see my self as a singer".These were the words that i always said and its all true about me, nothing is fake. I dont like freaking out with friends on weekends until and unless he/she is very close friend of mine, i dont booze, i dont fag, i like to help my mom in the kitchen, I keep a track of whats happening around the world by togling between different news channels, briefly i have all the character of a typical CANCERIAN. Am i living a boring life? is this the reason why i dont have many friends? finally i doubt am i boring?
